     Yes. You have an obligation to pay rent. The obligation to pay rent is separate from any obligation your landlord has to carry out repairs. If you stop paying rent, your landlord can serve you with a 14-day notice of eviction, even if the landlord wasn't properly maintaining the property. You must pay your rent when it is due.
