Mediation is when a third person talks to all the parties involved in a disagreement and tries to help them find a solution that is agreeable to everyone. It can take place in a meeting with all parties, or if that is not possible, the mediator can talk to each party by phone. Mediation is voluntary, so no one can make you or your landlord take part if you do not want to. Any agreement that you reach will also be voluntary.
